I then had to click a SECOND enter button (how many times do I need to enter
your site?) and was confronted by ANOTHER pop-up window.
Can I suggest that you make a few changes:
- make the site as quick and easy to enter a you possibly can. Get rid of
all the pop-up windows and alert boxes, they just distance the visitor from
your content.
- build a progress loader so that visitors can see how much longer they will
have to wait. If a long load time doesn't show you how much longer, most
people will give up.
- break your site up into smaller swf files, and take advantage of functions
such as loadMovie() to stremaline access to content, and improve load
handling. If you have big graphics in theree
Personally, I'd recommend that you either get rid of the intro or make it
much, much shorter. Flash intros tend to all look so very samey these days,
and it's usually just another barrier that makes it slower for visitors to
get to your real content. If you want to show off your animation skills in
Flash, that's great! But make it a menu option within your site, rather
than an upfront thing which people are forced to site through.
Clicking on the buttons in your menu doesn't produce any immediate result.
It takes so long for the site to react that I thought nothing was working.
You really need to supply people with immediate feedback so that they know
something is happening, otherwise the first assumption with computers is
that it's not working.
The site contains some good content, but you need to spend more time making
it easier for your visitors to access.
