I want to create links in Fireworks for each of the text areas on my image. I
don't know how. I have tried with the "rectangle hotspot tool" and the "slice
tool" and I can't seem to get it to work. Could someone please tell me how to
create links on my image so I can navigate with them on a website.

You cannot create text links in Fireworks unless you create a text slice
and open the HTML editor and write the markup yourself. Use Fireworks
for creating images, and Dreamweaver to do the markup.
