Mac Leopard doesn't recognize a projector start file. It just shows up the unix
file icon for a unidendified programm ex. like it shows an win exe file or the
ini file.
"cannot execute binary file" comes on the log file
The interesting thing is on an older g4 mac it runs correct, but for example a
new mac g5 it doesn't.
Somebody got any idea how to solve the problem?
Thanks for info.
Cheers

Was this published in Windows or Mac? Are you bundling your application?

Hi thanks for your question and help.

"Boundling" we made for OS X and Win separate projectors, no OS 9(not
supported).
It was made on mac. Production with glas master. There's no general problem it
works on all 10.4 and on most macs with 10.5.

(no problem on Win, what a suprise ;-) ,)

I have a G4 Mac set up with Leopard and it works. (installed with override
data an flaten the old system first).

I got response from some customers with Leopard installed. There is no
consistency, within the type of Mac. It occurs. ex on MacBoook (5/2006) iMac
(10/2007) MacPro G5 with intel 2 core.

Thanks

How is it distributed? Installer, dmg, sit, zip, download, cd?

the ending of the projector file is .osx
you should change it to .app that solve the problem...

Hi Sascha
Thanks a lot for your input and for the information.

What I could figure out is that i have to set the extention ".app" whenn i
creat the projector. Not just change the filenam on a Mac.
I made the projector on a win pc transfered the created .hqx zip file to the
mac, unzipped it on the mac and put the projector file without any changes on
the DVD folder to burn it with Toast.
For the moment it's fine. But I'm not shure if this is really the solution and
there is no deeper problem behind how OS10.5 treates files and extentions.

Have a nice time
