Problems searching on C# or C++

Does anyone know how one would search on "C#" or "C++" . Verity doesn't seem to like these types on criteria? I've tried using \ with no results.

My users have had the same problem for years. It seems there is no way to get Verity to search for the literal +, even using the rcvdk tool.
