One of my clients called me in last night after they appear to have
tried to update java on a CF7 server, and now the server process won't
restart.

I reset the jvm.config file to point back to the default that shipped
with the server: c:\cfusionmx7\runtime\jre\ and we still can't get
it to start.

It looks like two updates were attempted:

1: jre-6u16-windows-i586.exe
2: jdk-6u16-windows-i586.exe

It looks like at one point they had repointed the jvm.config to
java.home=C:\Program Files\Java\jre6

At some point, they went to control panel -> uninstall and removed the
two java updates that were applied.

When you attempt to start CF, this is generated in the Event Viewer:

Event ID: 7024
The ColdFusion MX 7 Application Server service terminated with service-
specific error 2 (0x2).

Attempting to start via the command line throws this error:

Starting Macromedia JRun 4.0 (Build 92909), coldfusion server

And at this point - I'm stumped as to where to look.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
