to Mach-II for CFML
Anyone have a recommendation of an example Mach-II application that
demonstrates good design principles and uses the predominate design
patterns. I could be wrong with my presumtions, but I thought an
example application might be one with ColdSpring and using the design
patterns Service, DAO, Gateway, Bean, Transfer objects. Am I on the
right track with this? Thanks.

I recommend MachBlog (http://greatbiztoolsllc.trac.cvsdude.com/mach-ii/wiki/SampleApplications/MachBlog). I dug through the MachBlog code a few months ago. It has all the beans, services, DAOs and gateways you can ask for and it was written very well, certainly well enough to use as a primer to OO if you're willing to really dig in. It uses ColdSpring, but an older version if I recall correctly. It does not use an ORM.

AppBooster was developed as an example starter application that uses
Mach II, ColdSpring, and Transfer (soon CF9 ORM). You can download it
from the link below.
