We are going to phase out our subversion source code repository and focus entirely on our github repository at https://github.com/Macaulay2/M2; that includes not only the source code for Macaulay2 itself, but also the files developed by participants in our various workshops.   The advantages are that it offers easier collaboration, simpler branching and merging, and it includes an issue tracker.

We anticipate making the subversion repository read-only on September 1, 2013; developers are encouraged to switch sooner rather than later.

With github, anyone in the world can offer a patch to any part of Macaulay2.  The recommended procedure is to create an account on github and then to make a "fork" of our repository, linked to above.  Make your changes and then issue a "pull request".

Users are welcome to add issues to the issue tracker at https://github.com/Macaulay2/M2/issues, starting immediately.
