  Hi, I have a 1.25GHz eMac and the on switch has broken. I can start &lt;br&gt; it up by shorting the thin black and red wires, but I need a long term &lt;br&gt; solution. It&#39;s not worth buying a new switch, as it&#39;s not my main &lt;br&gt; computer. There are three wires, thin black ,thin red and thick &lt;br&gt; black. Could anyone tell me what each is ?

  While this isn&#39;t a recommendation for a specific model, I would suggest that &lt;br&gt; you try burning disk one setting lower than the maximum rated speed (of &lt;br&gt; drive or meda, which ever is lowest) as burn errors are far more frequent &lt;br&gt; when running the drive or media closer to the maximum speed. &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;I&#39;ts annoying having to wait slightly longer for the burn to complete, but I
