to Mac for Translators
Hi all!

I have just received an edition job, and the files are uncleaned
in .ttx format. I have to deliver them cleaned with an updated TM.
Since I don´t work with Trados (I use WF and very recently started
with OMega T) I would like to know what would be the best way to deal
with them.
I found some ways to work with them by converting to a WF supported
format, and the same for Omega T.

Could someone recommend me which would be the best way to carry this
out?

Thanks!

Eugenia

Hi,

I do not think you can (not that I know of at least...).
I work with Swordfish on Mac which deals with .ttx, but I cannot create
a cleaned file. Let me know if you find a way.

Eugenia,

Have you read this article ?

http://mac4translators.blogspot.com/2009/07/bored-trados-users.html

To tell you the truth, I have never had to deal with TTX files in
OmegaT so I don't know how much of the article will help you...

Hi,
I just read of an application called Toxic, for Omega T, but havent´s tried it yet.
Also, I found some forums where it is explained how to deal in Wordfast with them problem, but apparently not very satisfying.
Let´s wait for some other answer here. Anyway, I´´ll let you know if I figure it out.

Thanks!

Hi JC,
I think my problem can be solved withoot having to deal with the ttx files, since I requested the client the original English files, and the Spanish Translation (mostly html files)
My idea is to align them, generate a TM, and then edit...what do you think?
Is my idea correct? I mean, I suppose that after alignment I should open the Eng. file and hace 100% matches....am I correct?

Thank you again!

I think Rainbow can convert your TTX file to TMX.
