I have one ISP provided mail and 3 gmail accounts.

And of course multiple lists to which my mails are subscribed, and no
consistency regarding which mail should host which kind of list etc.

Basically, when I want to create a new mail to a list, I have to go
back to a mail from that list, reply to it, check the From address and
start a new mail to not abuse an old thread...

A pain in the butt.

But. I've just noticed that by just selecting/highlighting a list mail
in the mail "browser" part of Mail, without opening it, and by hitting
Cmd+N (or the menu), Mail was smart enough to create a mail with a
From address that corresponded to the mail used by the list.

Pretty cool.

(The funny thing is that I created this mail from a different list
mail selected, and of course that was not the right mail... Technology
is not a solution for all problems...)

ps: Just like Betalogue's latest Spotlight hint: hit Command+Return
when a Spotlight item is selected to open its enclosing folder and
have it selected there (in most cases). I've been using that like
crazy in the last few days. Thank you Pierre !
