Folks,
I’m planning to be at the below ride this Sunday for anyone that’d like to come out. Temps should start out near 50 and stay in the 50’s during the ride—great cycling weather.

Subject: Latitude 09 - Off-season Western Howard County ride starting 0900 Sunday, 20 September
Folks,
I’m going to start doing my 3 hour 9 AM start time off-season training rides this Sunday along some of my old western Howard County loops that many of you have ridden with me in years past. I’d love to have some company. From my perspective these rides will be an endurance / fun ride, not a hammer fest. If anyone wants to go hard, they’re welcome to do so, but everyone should note that I want to keep the group together throughout the ride. If folks want to ride off the front they’re welcome to do so, but they should plan to wait or double back to pick up the rest of us (or at least meJ). I’d like everyone to enjoy the ride. Most, if not all of the courses will have one feed break at about the half-way point. The course(s) are all very scenic with little traffic, yet they contain a pretty good number of short walls and longer shallow climbs that will give everyone a great off-season workout.
We’ll start from the Bushy Park Elementary school parking lot at the intersection of Rte 97 with Carrs Mill Rd / McKendree Road in Glenwood MD. (see below). I’ll try to be there early in my red Grand Caravan. The route is plotted out at the following site. You can print a cue sheet for it if you’d like.

I hope some of you can join me for a scenic and enjoyable ride. If anyone has questions, feel free to write or call me at 410-707-2530.
Be sure to arrive BEFORE 9 AM since I plan to have us roll out pretty close to 9 AM—NOT 9:15 or later.
BTW, while I’ve got a few different courses and variations on those courses we can try out, I plan to use the same course for the first few weeks so everyone knows at least one course they can use during weeks when I may not be riding with you.
