Many thanks to everybody who came out and enjoyed the first race of the Super 8 Series, the Tacchino.  Results are attached. Please note, the protest period is over, though if you have a significant clerical correction to make (e.g. wrong license number) we will hear you out.

PLEASE NOTE:  the Tacchino registration staffers have done extensive and very time consuming work to try to ensure your information, incl. team name and USAC data, is correct.  Please make sure that your name, team name, license number, and other information stored on BikeReg is correct - otherwise your registration data is messed up and the promoters have to try to fix it.  It also makes it tough for us to post accurate results to USAC and to the only place that really counts, Crossresults.com

35+ results are included on this one.

For those who have already emailed asking - look at the tabs just below the data cells.  Click a tab, see a different race. The worksheet scrolls left & right too.

Is a cat 5 cross racer similar to when bike snob talks about cat 6 commuter racers?

Since my honor has been impugned before all of MABRAland, I'll say
that while I was chicked, I was not lapped!

Folks, please do us all a favor, check to whom you are replying.
Virtually all promoter contact info is readily available. We
promoters are always happy (and required) to attend to your concern
onsite within the 15 minute protest period.

Slow Cat 3

PS. Are you sure it was not Erik in front of you?

I will look into it Ally.

For other racers - a thing about cross season and how results usually work at most races:  we start from a flawed data set - BikeReg downloads - then work to try to correct that.  It's not like road where maybe 25 get scored; we try to score any finishers and DNF's who withdraw properly or are pulled.   That's why we keep begging you to check your BikeReg stored data when you register.  We try to validate it against USAC prior to the race but their data isn't always perfect either.

Other errors can creep in when the officials write down numbers, when USAC auto-populates the wrong team name (e.g. rider changed teams for CX but is listed under the old team or unaffiliated).  You all got results via email yesterday, we posted them to Crossresults today, and I am waiting another day or two before uploading to USAC because of the potential for error (and the unknown effects of error on the new USAC system) .

If it is a minor clerical error - wrong team, license number, you were DNS rather than DFL, we're happy to fix and it's not hard.  If it is a scoring error - 23 instead of 32, or your result is just not listed on the sheet provided by the officials, those generally needed to be caught, protested and resolved when the results were posted on the tripod on race day.

Hi Jim,

Okay, so I have a problem with the results.

Why am I listed as a DNF on the Men's 3/4 results? I finished.

I lapped Brancheau and was only a few riders back from Bill Wheeler. I
know Allan Wallace was just ahead of me going into the last lap,
because I though to myself, "that can't be Charly H. ahead. No, that's
not Charly H. ahead."

Did I do something to be disqualified? I shouldn't have been; I had a
good race. I don't understand this.

Thank you,

allyson.
