Quality Assurance Engineer

Director, Quality Assurance Engineering, you will:

* Devise and implement standards of excellence within the QA
Engineering team including architecture and design principles, coding
standards, tools, etc * Ensure that the Engineering team is following
a defined engineering process throughout the product lifecycle to
repeatedly achieve delivery objectives * Work closely with the Product
Management team to develop requirements and influence the functional
design of technology solutions * Monitor team and deliverable
performance in relation to agreed upon objectives * Collaborate with
business counterparts to define an inclusive and truly world-class
Product Development methodology * Identify and drive innovative
solutions to present and future business needs * Work with the
business leadership to collaboratively develop effective issue
resolution and new product development strategies * Own and manage the
relationships with any 3rd party service providers (including both
internal and external providers) * Identify and work with Managers to
pilot areas of improvement * Develop and implement best-practices in
software verification processes within the QA team * Oversee the
deployment calendar, integrating feedback on system dependencies and
priorities to set appropriate release date expectations and meet them

Your qualifications include:

* 10+ years experience of Engineering experience * 7+ years experience
leading medium to large high-performance engineering teams * 7+ years
experience in systems design, software engineering and systems
integration * 4+ years exposure to large-scale software systems
architecture * Process oriented and innovative while effectively
balancing short term and long term business needs * Excellent
communication skills (written, verbal, presentation, large audience,
small-team, one-to-one) * Experience working with, designing,
engineering and deploying high performance / high availability systems
* 7+ years of demonstrated success leading medium to large high-
performance engineering teams * 10+ years in multiple areas of IT:
software QA, development, or configuration management * Highly
collaborative with experience in Agile frameworks (Scrum, XP) *
Ability to work well with developers, QA engineers and non-engineering
personnel * Proficiency in a Unix/Linux environment * Highly detail
oriented * Strong testing experience on Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, or MS
SQL server * Successful working with technical as well as non-
technical members of the team * Successful working in a fast-paced,
technical environment * BS in Computer Science or equivalent education/
professional experience required, MS preferred
