Ir dzelži un plāni uzlikt un notestēt Oracle VM.

Jautājums - ko testēt?

Varbūt kādam ir pieredze vai pārbaudes scenārijs - interese konkrētas
situācijas/konfigurācijas kas var būt potenciāli šaura vai slikta vieta kad
OS ir uzlikta uz virtuāla servera nevis uz plikiem dzelžiem. Kā arī
speciālas virtualizācijas fičas, piem. virt.serveru klonēšana.
Ar citiem vārdiem - uz ko skatīties?

Ja jums kaut kas īpaši patika vai nestrādā normāli uz citiem
virtualizācijas risinājumiem - arī dodiet ziņu, var noderēt.

Potenciļæ½li interesantas lietas, lļæ½dz kurļæ½m man vļæ½l rokas nav aizgļæ½juļæ½as,
ir cpu un ram overquotings.

Vļæ½l jautļæ½jums par dzelļæ½iem - tev ir tikai viena kaste ar lokļæ½liem
diskiem, vai arļæ½ vairļæ½kas ar shared storage? Jo Oracle VM un vispļæ½r
virtualizļæ½cijas kļæ½ tļæ½das interesantļæ½kļæ½ lieta ir tieļæ½i "virtualizļæ½cija",
jeb abstrahļæ½ļæ½anļæ½s no dzelļæ½iem, un izrietoļæ½ļæ½s tehnoloļæ½ijas, live
migration (vai vmotion, kļæ½ nu kuram risinļæ½jumam). Ar vienu kasti to
notestļæ½t nav iespļæ½jams. Bet manļæ½ skatļæ½jumļæ½, tieļæ½i ļæ½ļæ½ fļæ½ļæ½a ir
visinteresantļæ½kais objekts testļæ½ļæ½anai.
To, protams, var norealizļæ½t arļæ½ bez fiz. dzelļæ½iem, bet virtual box vidļæ½,
lai gan no performances viedokļæ½a ļæ½ļæ½ ir izvirtļæ½ba un var kalpot tikai kļæ½
roku trenļæ½ļæ½ana konfigurļæ½ļæ½anļæ½.

iestrļæ½gusi sevļæ½, ka pļæ½rmigrļæ½t un atdzļæ½vinļæ½t viļæ½u varļæ½ja tikai izmetot no
server pool'a, uztaisot jauno server pool'u, un vļæ½l pļæ½ris ļæ½amaniskļæ½m
kustļæ½bļæ½m. Pat lock failu dzļæ½ļæ½ana ne ļæ½oti palļæ½dzļæ½ja. Bet kļæ½ to reproducļæ½t
tļæ½rļæ½ testa vidļæ½ man nav ne jausmas. Anybody?

Paldies Juris!
Uz kādu laiku (testēšanai) būs pieejamas 2 serveri. Attiecīgi meģināšu
paspelēties arī ar Server pool.
