Hey everyone,

I may be going crazy but I could have swore we had a gang of guitar hero guitars for xbox 360's here at the space.  If so, anyone know where they are?  I know my big guitar hero guitar is by the gaming stuff, but I'm just looking for some of the regular old guitars.

Additionally... If anyone has any guitar hero guitars for xbox laying around that they don't want anymore, let me know.  I'm trying to find a couple for Bernhiem Connect as well as a couple for myself (I'm willing to pay for em!).   OR... if anyone knows any place around town to pick some up let me know, I've tried.... Gamestop, Gameforce, Wal-mart, big lots, 2 peddlers malls, 4 pawn shops, and a few other places.  NO ONE HAS EM and I need a 5-button gaming fix!

Thanks everyone

I have a couple I can bring in tomorrow.  They're old and used so you can tear them up

Are you injecting colors into the flame? I was playing with that the other night and might have figured out a good way to do it.

That would be even better.  What do we need to do for colors?
I'm still trying to figure out what type of valves to use as well.  If anyone has any experience with this let me know.

John,

I attend at least 1 (and sometimes several) Burning Man Regional event a year :) Pyro, and specifically propane-based flame cannon, is super common, with projects just like this being a standard item at every burn. If you look on Tribe.Net, specifically in the area of http://ch3ch2ch3.tribe.net/threads, you can most likely find every question you might have answered already, I expect. Complete designs, accumulators, ways to prevent blowback/flashback, brands of valves&solenoids to use or avoid, controller ideas, recommended pressures, ways to lay out multiple tanks so you get proper pressure/surface area (IE, use LOTS of small tanks to feed a single buffer tank, since it's surface area that controls how much propane vaporizes inside each tank), yada yada. They're not hard to build, as I've talked w/ quite a few folks who have done them, but what can be tricky is building them right so you can handle the unexpected (and the mundane but forgettable, like post-fun gas purging of the entire system). If you browse that and can't find what you want pretty quickly, let me know and I'll ping some of my pyro burning man friends and get you a direct line to some of them.

I dissolved some of the metal salts in spray bottles in methanol and squirted it over a propane flame, gives a 10-14" blast of color just on its own. If you have a way to actuate a spray bottle along with the propane blast and if it won't melt below the flame (which I don't think it will) that would probably work.

I also looked at some misting systems, some have up to 11 nozzles for under 30 bucks. Relies on water pressure though and getting some agricultural nozzles might give a better spray than such a thin mist. I was thinking attach the nozzle to a "straw" or tubing of some sort with a valve in the straw/tube. Make a pvc container that can be filled with the alcohol solution, have the straw sit in it like a spray bottle and pressurize the pvc containers with air over the liquid. Trigger the release of the valve and it should blast a spray of alcohol.

The thing is, if this can be worked out, it might be easier to just blast the alcohol solutions over pilot lights instead of relying on the propane for the blast.

Strontium, sodium, calcium, and boron will get you the colors of 4/5 buttons, might be hard to get zinc for the blue dissolved.
The rest you can get at the grocery store.

For the agri parts, If you go over to Jeffersonville, at 10th and Allison, there’s a Rural King

If it’s on a farm, they have it in 6 sizes…..

(Been in there a couple times… Cool place for a lvl1er… from electric fences & cattle prods, to pumps and motors, toskeet shooting contraptions, to  a 3’x3’ enclosure, chock full of live little baby ducks)

[Don’t know what we could do with 100 baby ducks….. but ]
