Waffle Iron available (broke)

The wife took our favorite waffle iron out of the kitchen line up because a plastic piece broke.

If someone thinks they can fix it (3d makerbot perhaps?) its available.  It would be nice to have for the space, because all you need is some batter and people can make their own.  This is a single cooker, not like the new doubles that they make now.

I don't want to just throw it in the junk pile as we have a bunch of stuff already and I don't want to add to it unless someone thinks they can make this work.

Here's whats wrong.  The unit will pull out of the back bracket.  There should be a retainer clip of some sort that should keep the unit from pulling out.  Functionally it works still, but it can make a mess if the cooker pulls out, and its a pain to hold it there the whole time.

Let me know if someone wants to take  on this project and I'll bring it in.  See attached pics.
