Just posting this here as an F.Y.I. and documentation for any future reference needed.

I've noticed an issue with the laser cutter today that I remembered also being an issue the last time I used it a month of so ago.  Not sure if anyone else has noticed it or not but here's the problem.  Whenever I send a circle or curved path from Inkscape to RetinaEngrave the circle ends up looking more like a hexagon (as if there aren't enough nodes in the path).  I checked inkscape settings, tried to use illustrator but everything circular I send to retina engrave had this issue.

Anyways I finally figured out the solution.  It turns out that there's a problem with the RetinaEngrave configuration file for the version we have installed.  In the config file there is a line that says:
"<ImportTolerance>1.0</ImportTolerance>",  the correct setting is:
"<ImportTolerance>0.1</ImportTolerance>".

Problem solved and circles look beautiful again.

I also cleaned the optics.  Now the laser is back up to its normal power levels.
