So, this is a big move. Some of you might remember me grousing about the incredibly closed-off nature of the RasPi's video stack. This is actually a pretty big step: it takes the RasPi from slightly worse than most embedded vendors to slightly better, and sets a precedent. Unfortunately, the stack isn't entirely open-source, since there's still a big binary firmware blob that you have to load onto the chip at startup, but now I might have to more seriously pursue the acquisition of a raspi.
