Subject: Looking for old analog oscilloscope

Anybody know where I could get a cheap old analog oscilloscope locally?
Just want an old one for playing around with and to learn about
oscilloscopes. I don't need much bandwidth; 20Mhz is fine.

Thanks,
John Combs

What about all the ones at the space?  Some of those are 30 mhz or so.  You
could do your playing around at the space.

Well I plan on getting a career in the industry so it'd be useful having a
scope at home.

Use the ones at the space... There's tutorials (I think they're linked to the QR code... not sure)
Work up to the better ones
Get "good" with the scope

THEN, you will know what to look for in one of your own....

Agreed. When you are ready to buy there is a cool digital one that can be
hacked to give 100mhz. It costs about 350 and is the size of a lunchbox.  I
will look for a link.

They don't even sell the 50MHz version anymore. There's only a 100MHz
now. http://www.saelig.com/PSBE1002/PSPC017.htm
