Looking for a 14.7456 or 7.3728. Shadio rack seems to not carry any crystals according to their web page. :/

Try Scale Reproduction of Louisville off Breckenridge Road.  They sell
hobby stuff including remote control items.

Why those?  Can't decide between 20 or 40 meters?

Wiring up a bare atmega328p. Those two have the best rs232 timing ranges.

Unless you're hooking it up to something really picky, that probably
isn't too big of a deal.  Any modern RS232 device will be able to deal
with a ~2% (or more!) timing discrepancy without any issues at all.
Unless you're doing it just for the novelty, in which case you're
going to have to hit up digikey or mouser.

Ya? How about rs-485? I'm swapping it over to a multidrop 485 once I'm done prototyping the rest of the hardware.

You're going to be better off using cheap RS485 transceiver, which
will simply output a TX/RX pair for your UART, so it's essentially
unchanged from the uC's perspective.
