Anyone else played with embedded arm *nix? I have been for a few years with an Arm920t.

I've had mine for a few weeks now (picture attached).  It's pretty cool.  HDMI works great.  Plan for mine is to build an NES emulator and build a box modeled after the original.  USB ports instead of the old controller ports, and use a USB NES controller ( http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00281PFQI/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00).  I might be posting in a bit on how to get the NES case built on the Replicator.  Anyways, currently running Debian and FCEUX as my NES emulation engine.  Still working to get a good front-end (it's been a while since I created stuff like that in Linux) and getting the controller working.

I think the biggest challenge so far has been getting a monitor near my router, so that I can plug in the ethernet to the PI and have a monitor.  My router is "hidden" in the middle of the house to give me the best access throughout the house (and limit any access from outside too).  Maybe that just means that I need to get a USB wireless card working first...

yeah man,   ive been running it since Xbox original now with the raspberryPi you could velcro Xbmc to the back of your tv ,  thats worth the  price of it !

ive not looked to hard but would be pretty cool if there is a "asterix pbx" version that runs on the raspberrypi also

i like the idea of these things replacing all my old pc's in favor of saving electricity

I'm sure you could. Freeswitch would blow asterisk out of the water thou...
I built... Smoothstone. Senior R&D engineer for 7 years.

I've got some horribly devious plans for at least one pi. I'll share when the build time and my hardware gets nearer. I'm expecting a HaD and a ISD mention should all go well.

This qt and HTML5 distro looks neat in the meantime.
