Subject: {LVL1} CAM Software

For all the CNC enthusiasts, I have a basic question.  What CAM software do you use?  I want to start playing around with the CNC downstairs and would like to know what software you use to generate 3D tool paths.  I spent the weekend learning solid modeling, so I've got the CAD part down.  What software do you use, or would you recommend, for generating the tool paths to cut out 3D objects?  FLOSS or free would be ideal, as long as it gets the job done.  Also, what is the status of the ZenBot mill we have?  Is it in working condition?

Thanks!

BTW, if you have not checked out FreeCAD, make sure you take a look.  They've made incredible progress and it's very impressive.  http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/free-cad/index.php?title=Main_Page

Check out autocad's student program. Free access to all of their software as long as you can convince them you are a student. (it's not that hard)
