All,

Does anyone in this group have a copy of "Programming Pearls" - Jon Bentley, that they would be willing to loan out for a few days? I was hoping to grab a copy and run through it this week, but none of the bookstores in town seem to have a copy.

I'll be at the space tomorrow (Saturday 15th) from noon-4ish for the Game Dev meeting if anyone has a copy and is feeling generous.

I've got a copy.

The algorithms may be good, but don't use it as a reference for C programming... the programming style is god awful.

There's a reason they call two-seater canoes "divorce boats".

Barton,

Understood. I'm wanting to read through it specifically for the algorithm design examples and not as a language reference. Would you happen to be willing to loan out your copy for the week? I will be back at the space this coming saturday and could return it then.

I understand if not.

Thank you,
Barry

I haven't read it in so long that I actually had to check my bookshelf to make sure that I still had it, so lending it for a week will be absolutely no hardship whatsoever. Will you be at the meeting tomorrow?

Barton,

Well, clearly I was not able to make the meeting tuesday. My schedule got shifted around this week at the last minute. My plan was to get a copy to read on a trip I was taking this week, but the trip did not happen.  I am still interested in borrowing the book, and will be at the space regularly on Saturdays if you're ever around on the weekends.

Thanks for offering,
Barry
