He sent me this in his email...

I was giving a presentation in a conference room that had a large screen
LCD TV on the wall, connected to my laptop. I was using my laser pointer,
and found out that if I pointed the laser beam to the LCD screen, the red dot
of light disappeared. I tried this on my home LCD TV, and the same thing
happened.

However, if I point the laser to my computer LCD screen, the red dot does
NOT disappear.

Question is: WHY?

Thoughts?

My initial reaction would be to wonder if the LCD TV screen has a special coating or construction feature that doesn't reflect the laser light very well; perhaps an anti-glare feature.  This may not be found on the computer monitor.
