That looks very cool...  Is there a local league?

A friend was recently telling me about a Kinetic Sculpture Race that he participates in every year in New England. It looks and sounds like a lot of fun for spectators and participants alike. I was thinking it might be fun to try and organize something like it here in Louisville, where interested LVL1 members could build vehicles to compete. The race is all about designing, building and racing a human powered amphibious all-terrain contraption (sculpture). Here is a link to a how to build a Kinetic Sculptures resource: http://www.kineticbaltimore.com/KSR/HowTo.asp We might be able to get UofL students and/or a few local businesses involved as well.

Any thoughts?

I don't think there is a local league, but I thought if we had enough interest we could get one started...or create our own version.
