well we have our first meeting scheduled and because it's right after
Max 2006, we managed to snag an Adobe pro to speak. We can thank Greg
Rewis of Adobe and our local user group pro Greg Hamer for this.

To quote the Adobe Max speaker bios site:

"Richard Galvan is an Adobe Systems, Inc., Web Tools product evangelist
with 11 years experience educating and consulting customers about web
technology. For the last 8 years he has been helping Adobe customers
implement the latest Adobes technology into their own next generation
Web projects."

So what this means is if any of us have missed any of the Dreamweaver
announcements at Max, Richard should be able to fill us in.

The meeting will be held at the Nevada Power company headquarters 6226
West Sahara Avenue at 7 p.m., Friday October 27. For reference, the
building is on the north side of Sahara less than half a block west of
Jones.

Since the office will be closed at 7 p.m., you will need to park in the
back and go to the quadrouple doors in the back of the building right
beside the drive through. There's a intercom by the door to page the
security guards. Tell them you're there for the users group. I will be
shuttling back and forth between the meeting room and the door and
should be able to escort most people up the elevators to the room.

My plan is to hold the meetings here on the last Friday of every month.

I'm still in the midst of getting the lvdug site ready. It's taking a
little longer than I anticipated because  I had to try one or two
things I've never done before (sIFR headlines in case you're wondering)
and I'm putzing with the CSS to get it to display properly on the top
browsers.

The site is also going to have a discussion forum where we can post
questions and share ideas and hopefully get to know each other a little
better.

Anyway, I'll send out a message when I get it working properly.
