A general discussion for those who are interested.
I will have a presentation and demonstration on what it takes to upgrade to LibreOffice 4 for Ubuntu (and other Debian derivative distributions). The procedure isn't all that different for other distros.

I will be unable to attend because of other things i need to do today
and the distance, but I am curious if notes will eventually be available
electronically. I'm hoping 4 will correct issues I have had going even
back to open office. Thank you.
