In reply to your email:Hi,
Ā
My wife and I are new to overlanding
...............
Ā
I'm from Johannesburg so I am not familiar with the
Cape - Namibia trip. However, we have travelled the route through Botswana
exiting via the Mohembu border-post into Namibia returning via Caprivi and
KasaneThe campsites we used were
- One of the campsites run by locals (adjacent to
Linyati Swamps -Ā it was good)
- Drotsky's Cabins on the Okavanga (nice camping and
lodge / cabin accommodation)
- Maun (if you will need to find something near here
rather push on to Mankwe Lodge (nice camping and tented decks).
It is quite expensive to cross for a one day visit
intoĀ Zambia (Livingston)Ā to view Victoria Falls.
Ā
I would suggest you subscribe to www.overland.co.zaĀ . They are a very
experienced group and have many trip reports covering all regions in Southern
Africa. They also deal with queries such as your promptly and
efficiently.
