Last Night's ArtWalk Planning Meeting Recap

Thx for asking, Lynzy. We had a great meeting last night. Here are some details:
--If you want to be on the poster (artist: Andrew Perry again), please send your logo, your URL, the special you will be offering (an artist you're featuring, a drink special, some discount if you show the postcard) to Rob at Lower Haters (rob.low...@gmail.com) BY FRIDAY.
--BY FRIDAY please give $30 for the printing of the 11X17 posters and the 5"X7" postcards to Dick Vivian at Rooky Ricardo's Records on the 400 block of Haight Street. He's open after noon every day til about 7pm. He'll give you a receipt, and probably ask you for your special again. He's the Treasurer of LoHaMNA and will be keeping the records. So far, we have been paid by Noc Noc, Tweekin Records, and Life (THANKS!).
--We decided to have a contest for best Window Display Best Decorated Tree. The merchant who is judged to have the best Window Display or Best Tree will receive a gift pack from the Lower Haight merchants so if you can give 2 small items for the two gift packs, please send them over to Lower Haters on Haight and Steiner.
--We're getting interest from a jeweler on Steiner and Waller, and Bean There. Be sure to support the side streets during the event. There will be cool stuff going on there, too.
--Next meeting is next Tuesday, Nov 17th 7pm. Come join us at Lower Haters for the meeting! If we're really lucky, we'll have the posters for you, but probably not til Wednesday.
--We're asking everyone to use their websites/FB, Twitter and enewsletter lists to get the word out. It's the first Friday in December, December 4th.
--There will be a band on the 500 and 600 block of Haight. Thea is going to try and get a choir from one of the local churches for the 400 block.
Rob, Janice, Cata, Manny, Samson, is there anything I'm forgetting here? Please add.

The last ArtWalk was an unmitigated success, and we're looking for super awesome this time too.
Things to debate tonight:
* Any thoughts on the fact that it's going head to head with a Hayes Valley event? Express your opinion tonight!

* Help us sign up the merchants! Last time, 30 merchants signed up. Let's go for 35 this time!
* Galleries: We CRAVE your attendance at these planning meetings. The best ideas come up when we come together--pls join us!
