Hello, all.

Hope you all had a fabulous TDay.  The upcoming two weeks are a great time to enjoy your local merchants and their items and to support local community groups that are doing great things in our area. The Lower Haight Merchant + Neighbor Assn is part of an umbrella organization led by Richard Johnson called Community Partners United. They do a lot of wonderful things throughout the year culminating in this Season of Giving.

Please see attached flier for the 8th Annual Giving Voice to the Season event this Friday December 2nd from 6-9pm. Great Silent Auction with proceeds going to fund food bags. Bring the kids to the hot chocolate at Patricia's Green. Enjoy the small independent businesses both in Hayes Valley and in the Lower Haight. Not only do they have unique products you can't find anywhere else, but they make our neighborhoods vibrant.

Look forward to seeing you down the hill next weekend, and then back up in the Lower Haight for the ArtWalk the following weekend.

Happy Holidays, folks!

Best,

Thea

Hi Thea,

There has been a robbery at "Love Haight Computers" from back door on sunday morning 2:10 AM (Saturday night). They broke the back door and stole about 15 computers, luckily non of them were customers and I have insurance to cover that up. They picked busy 2am time  so that police will be slow to respond and please mention tell in the lowerhaight mailer that police didnt show up for 50 minutes to be exact.  I got a call from ADT alarm company 2:12am.

I would be really afraid to live in the neiborhood knowing that police are sooo slow to respond, robber will have enough time to rob and even kill anybody on their way. I think 400 block needs more alert and neighborhood watchout.

The socking factor is that nobody called police even though there was a VERY LOUD alarm and they kick open the door to break the door blocked by thick wooden bar. There must a be lot of noise.

On a side note, I wanted to invite your son to come and intern for us, he is a geek like one of us and can learn quite a bit from us and we can use his help as well in hardware / software where ever  his interest lies.

Thanks

Does Love Haight Computers really exist? Let's examine the facts
before us:
(a) a computer store doesn't have better security even though it has
15 computers on hand?
(2) you don't have a website http://lovehaightcomputers.com/, and what
is there is spammy advertising for dating and car parts and tractors.
(iii) you replied to an email about supporting independent businesses/
art walks with an email about crime.
(d) if it does exist, LHC exists in a spellcheck free zone
lastly, you use gmail even though you run a computer business.
Oops. The sarcasm was lost among the truthiness.
Carry on...

Thanks Jeff for your kind message and support!

1.
We have state of the art wireless cellular and battery powered remotely monitored and controller security system that is best in class in the world. We got instant call and alert to the police as soon as intrusion happened. They got three different intrusion signal. I got there few minutes later since i live close by but cops didnt show up for little while. We do have hidden cameras and double door, three locks in the front and a METAL door in the back with double wooden bar.  They had plenty of time to break open the back door, unfortunately the backdoor night camera isn't installed yet but will be now. All the windows are protected and alarmed.

Keep in mind we just opened the store not too long ago and are working with a limited funds, have you ever done any kind of business? then you will know the amount of paperwork and licenses, rents and bills and employees.

2.
We did register websites as shown below, we actually have several. We did had landing page website but we are upgrading to online store, give us a break, we barely opened up. We are more of a local cumminty business rather than a corporate store. We value community over corporate and honesty over corporate interest. The advertising you see is nothing but based on your recent web surfing activity. So yess if you are going on a dating website and looking for car parts and tractor then it will display relevant stuff.

3.
I did not mean to reply to mailer, it was meant to be addressed to thea only. But I must warn other businesses and residents about the crimes in lower haight as well. There seems to be increasing burglary and crimes in lower haight. Upper playground office was also broken into last week.

WE GOT GOOD EVIDENCE AND LEADS AND THIS TIME WE GONNA GET THESE CRIMINALS.

4.
This is my personal email and you are using GMAIL too right?

I don't know why you seemed to be unhappy but I'm a proud employer of two American citizens from suburb and making economy better by stirring local economy and helping local community with inexpensive computer needs and support. Our repair cost is about half of apple or best buy. We have had great support and thanks from our neighbors, both resident and businesses. And everybody seems to be very happy to open a new storefront bringing good business and customers. Next time before you speak in a public mailer / place, think twice.

This domain name has just been registered. Why is this page displayed?

No worries, we never know what other people are going through, therefor we shall never assume anything and i don't blame you at all. My father passed away month and half ago, the whole walgreen building we share wall next door burnt down but we survived %100, then my girl friend broke up and last week my step mom passed away too and yesterday robbery at the store. As you can see what you say doesn't matter at all :)

I'm STILL very thankful to be alive, healthy, well to do and be a part of the most creative community and amazing friends. I have been helping schools with computers since last six years and still help starving artist / students who don't have money. As i begin to make some money, one day pretty soon i'll fulfill my lifetime dream of starting a school in india at my fathers village. It seems like its gonna happen sooner than later.

Thank you universe and thanks Almighty!!

Happy thanksgiving!

Sorry to hear about this, Azam. Every time something like this
happens it hurts all of us, though none more so than the victim(s).
Sorry again.
