My neighbor in my building had someone break-in to his apt. this morning around 6:30 AM, 12/24
The guy came through his bathroom window situated in the back of our building. He woke up went into his kitchen & found the guy.
The guy ran out the back door and hop the fence but he did steal a little cash, his electric razor and sadly his notebook.
I think because so many people are out of town this time of year, especially in our neighborhood, the crook didn't think anyone was home?
Anyway, home-invasions are very scary. He called the police and the police came out & took the report & sent CSI to dust for fingerprints.
Please tell your neighbors to be careful. Home invasions can be very dangerous because the crooks can be armed.
Also I'm thinking of trying to raise some money to buy David a new notebook (it wasn't a MAC) around $300.
David is on disability and the small notebook was his only communication to his friends, family & his doctors.
The stolen notebook was an old one that a friend gave him. It's heartbreaking to know he has to go without basic communication because of this dreadful situation and his financial position.
Thanks and Happy Holidays,
Vallie
