This is an email and notification posting group for people who live/work in or are concerned about crime and safety issues in the Lower French Quarter of New Orleans, LA.  Its purpose is to facilitate the distribution of information about upcoming meetings, events and action opportunities to its members promptly and conveniently.  At present, it is not a discussion forum.

While the actions of this group are generally focused on issues pertaining to the Lower French Quarter, notices and information about other areas of the city or subjects of general interest will also be posted as a community service.  If you have an event or action item you would like to have posted/distributed via email, submissions are welcomed.

Concerned citizens can join the group directly (invitation is not required).  Identification of members and members' email addresses will not be publicly available in the interest of protecting individual privacy/prevention of spamming.
