Installing on Dreamhost - no sockets for db - rake db:create:all fails.

I'm installing lovd on a Dreamhost private server, which doesn't have
MySQL locally. I'm using the domain's remote mysql server, but when I
do
rake db:create:all
I get the error:
rake aborted!
Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/
mysqld.sock' (2)

Hi, yes Steven's right. First check if you have the requirements needed: suitable Ruby, Rubygem and Rails versions, also required gems list. wanted to know where the subscribers' data will be stored? Is Lovd
actually a server as well or I need to look for a host?
