Value of pristine Lotus Elite Workshop manual

How much would a pristine copy of the Lotus Elite Workshop manual go
for? (This is for the climax-engined / monocoque car, not the 70s
version)

The invitations to compete at Le Mans Classic 2010 have just been sent
out. The Lotus Eleven is eligible as usual. There is no mention of
the model (Le Mans,Club or Sport). The entry fee is 4,400 Euros if
you pay by 15th December (4,900 thereafter). However the regulations
say that "A monthly meeting of the Selection Commitee will be held

Hi everybody

What makes a Lotus Eleven eligible for races such as LeMans, Mille
Miglia, and others races where not everybody that owns an Eleven and
wants to participate is allowed to do so?
Specifically I am wondering if the car needs competition history in
that specific race, ie if only those Elevens (specific chssis #s)

I believe there are two cars on the West Coast claiming 525....I will have
to look at my Engberg list Bob put together when drumming up support for an
all eleven race in Monterey.

About ten years ago there was an Eleven S-2 for sale in the Atlanta,
Georgia area claiming the number # 525. That car seemed to be for sale
for several years and some of us were asking each other about it. Can
anyone suggest where this car is today?

Victor,

You should have a photocopy of 4DTN's chassis plate, from years ago. Dick Fryburger's ex- Peter Ashdown 349 is identical, save the chassis number. The plates look more like those on the team 15s of 1958, if you will remember.

Belatedly:
Hoping my article on XI chassis plates exposed the myths.
I have now found the fifth type of plate original to an Eleevn.
It was originally in Sports car and Lotus Owner
that ACBC declared the plural was "Lotus".
