Here is a video from the SVRA Group 4 race at Watkins Glen last
weekend. There were 3 Elevens in the field. The others were Jim Hamlin
and Jeff Snook. Unfortunately Jeff's car broke a tranny. You can see
him on the side of the track.

Group 4 is the 1950s group and includes everything from 1100cc sports
racers to 5.5 L V8 sports cars like Corvettes and specials such as
Devins and Listers. It is pretty tough for us little guys at a place
as large as Watkins Glen due to the long straights.

The weekend was rainy but we got in a dry qualifying, a qualifying
race, and this, the feature race.

During a wet enduro on Saturday, the beautiful and very quick Lotus 23
driven by Travis Engen collected a spinning Porsche and came in on the
flatbed. I am sure it will be repaired quickly and expertly.

Hi Glenn, great video. Thanks for sending. Wished I was still racing at the
end.  Sure is frustrating with those V-8s just pulling away on the straights
and slowing us down on the corners!

Vroom, vroom,

Jeff Snook
