to Loopware: iFlash
After a long period without updates nor even any reply to the
numerous request for mere information, I've tried many other flash
cards apps. To my surprise there is a far superior app for Mac, iOS,
Android, PC, Linux and other OS's and platforms. It is ANKI: http://ankisrs.net.
Despite its unattractive appearance it is far more powerful than
iFlash. The developer behind the app is full time devoted to it (he
lives from it), there is a lot of resources, information, forums and
people supporting it: a huge community. Audio and pictures are of
course supported on mobile devices. Utf-8 is well supported on iOS, so
I can see the Arab of my cards with no problems (unlike iFlash). There
is support for Japanese and Chinese, since the developer learns
Japanese and currently lives in Japan.
Version 2 is coming in June and the improvements are incredible. The
app in its present state is great and it is worth moving to it.

Although I've been a full supporter of iFlash for a very long time,
after the neglect and lack of respect from the developer I feel my
duty to discourage any current or prospective user from investing
money and time on it. Move away from iFlash. ANKI is your way out.
Your current stacks can be smoothly convert into ANKI system.

You say my current stacks can be smoothly converted into Anki. I have tried but have had no luck.
How did you do it??

Hi Jimmy,

You can export your card decks as a text file by clicking the Export button in iFlash and then choosing "Text File".

Sorry to see you go!

Hi Davey,

I could really use some help.  I no longer have my mac :/ broke it last year.  I still have all of my .cards files but no way to run iFlash (except on iPhone but can't sync with the app that I don't have for the mac that I don't have).  Is there a way to convert my .cards files to .txt or another format?  Accessing all of my old school work is going to help save my grade in this course.  Nothing sensitive in them so not afraid to upload them here.  Are you willing to convert them for me if possible?

Thank you for your help,

Chris
