I eliminated the Inca and have 100 cities now, but my score would only
be 23229 if I chose diplomatic victory. The raw scores and cities
are ; Me 7380-100, Chinese 1307-15, Greek 1266-14, Russia 1238-9,
America 1198-11, Persia 1103-11, and Germany 996-11. I am going 100%
tax to pay for buildings in conquered and new cities, with an income
per turn of 4201. I would have more but cities 70 through 100 need
missionary work, a priority for building when I can get them to work.
A failed missionary or two is okay but 50% failure is not. A typical
population one city has cost of 5 or 6 while four trade routes bring
in 8, ground coins are one or two, and if missionaries established all
seven religions that would add 17 income. I am buying granary, forge,
and factory now, with theatre and library for culture if it is a
border city. I stopped buying courthouses when I realized that the buy
cost exceeded the taxes saved for probably the rest of the game...
I have 232 workers, 244 mechanized infantry, and 72 modern armor.
Typically the AI has a long bowman and pikeman or two plus a few
miscellaneous gunpowder units. The worst that I face are riflemen,
because they do not have the technology for infantry. My power rating
is 11604k versus 401k for the most powerful AI. My other statistics
are ; GNP 913 versus 419, MFG 4062 versus 119, Crop 3292 versus 202,
Land 2015k versus 347k, and population 401828k versus 3789k. I have an
imports/exports rating of 1305/158, but since I have so many more
cities than the AI, the primary cities in my civilization trade with
each other rather than having foreign trade routes.
I plan to go to war with Catherine of Russia when the Inca cities are
out of revolt. The war will take only one or two turns. Then I will
take out Bismarck of Germany. then after a pause for missionary work
and buying buildings, I will take out Alexander of Greece and the
Chinese. That leaves the Americans and Persians. If my adjusted score
is going up rather than down, I will pause to let it hit 30000,
otherwise I will finish them off to have a conquest victory...
