Subject: FW: Breast Cancer Awareness Ride Volunteers Needed
Syracuse Bicycle WANTS YOU! We need volunteers for our 3rd Annual Breast Cancer Awareness Ride on Saturday, October 8th, at Green Lakes State Park in Fayetteville, NY.  Volunteers will receive a goody bag and a fabulous lunch featuring food from Angotti's Restaurant.  Of course, this is great opportunity for scouts to give service to their community but also a great opportunity to complete a portion of the requirements for the BSA Cycling Merit Badge.

We need to scouts to help at tables prior to the ride with rider registration and sweepstakes entry submission, and general set up. If you can help with this, we would need volunteers to arrive by 8:30am.
Scouts who help prior to the ride can participate in the ride! We have a great 10-mile ride on the canal that my kids have completed each year. Scouts who want to ride would need to register, have a parent sign a waiver, and pay the $25 registration fee which is donated in total to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

We also need Scouts and parents to help during the ride directing riders and at water stations on the routes. If you can help with this, we would need Scouts/parent to arrive by 9:00am for a volunteer meeting.  Scouts helping with rider direction and water stations unfortunately would NOT be able to participate in the ride.

Please read below for a description of the event.  Please contact Trish Dugan at tr...@syracusebicycle.com if you can help, or call
263-7575 if you have additional questions.
