I dont wear any protection even tho ive had some nasty falls at 35mph.
i know its stupid but i cant concentrate and feel limited in my
mobility with that kinda gear on. I'm just wondering what you guys
wear when you skate.

I don't run DH for a reason..... although i am very fucking foolish to
run with no gear....

i am wanting to get a new helmet and some knee pads.. SLIDE GLOVES
are mandatory...

i hate wearing knee pads but they make my toe side drifts much better

Pads, gloves, and helmet 99% of the time. The other 1% is when I commute then it's just gloves. Watching friends knock themselves unconcious while wearing helmets is enough for me to want to wear a fullface almost all the time

I wear a fullface and pads when I feel like I'll be going out of my
comfort zone, but usually I just ride with slide gloves under 30.

Helmet, gloves and pads 99% of the time. Fullface when looking at
anything over 35.

These bones don't bounce back like they used to. I ride harder with
gear, 'nuff said.

im going to buy a full face before I do any more serious downhill. My
buddy Mike fell at just over 40mph a couple weeks ago and came less
than an inch away from losing his eye. I haven't done anything as fast
since then. He cracked his dome style helmeta little bit and even
chipped a peice of Corian tile aside from the expected rash

I wear a Giro Remedy. Giro and Bells are pretty widely available yet
differently on my head. Try before you buy. REI should have both.

I bought mine from my local BMX bike shop (I have to rep Boneshaker
Bikes. They're what Woody's is to Atlanta longboarding for BMX racing.
No other shop carries what they do.). It's DOT approved, but I can't
remember the company.

I wear lots of gear, mostly because I tend to ride with my friends and
push way past my limits. I've beefed pretty hard quite a few times and
I've got a bad knee and shoulder from motox so I rock my Astars
jacket, knee pads, ankle brace, and full face I have from before I
totalled my bike. Soon I'll switch the jacket for a nice set of bow
pads, slide gloves, and maybe a back pad or something.
