[Lonergan_l] urgent action

God help us and may the GEM world be "relevant" in the light of this
scenario:

Ahead of the United Nations climate conference in Copenhagen,
international aid organizations have warned that "urgent action" is needed in order to
prevent global hunger due to climate change. Africa would seem to be the
first victim--eg the desertification of large parts of such lands as Kenya.
