Our client are looking for an enthusiastic Scala developer with experience in Scala programming for a remote working contract.
They are looking for a programmer to join their team in Manchester (or potentially remote working) for a 3 month contract. The ideal candidate will have good understanding of computer programming and be able to program in Scala; Haskell is a big plus, but a good grounding in Java is a must have.

The successful candidates will work on a high throughput system in Scala and Haskell; with data stored in schema-free stores (document, graph and key-value).
The Scala developer will also get every opportunity to work on open source projects, come to conferences, user groups and to help with the editorial work on the Open Source Journal.
