We have a unique opportunity for a candidate looking for work in Scala. It is a rare opportunity as they are happy to consider candidates that do not have commercial experience and will be prepared to consider those with academic or personal project experience within Scala and could be seen as a great step onto other projects in the future.

The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of computer programming principles and be able to program in Scala. Any experience of Open Source Software development, or personal projects around Scala or functional programming will be a great plus.

The role is open to an experienced developer or a recent graduate, though must have experience (academic, personal or commercial) with Scala. The successful candidates will work directly with a highly experienced mentor on a high throughput system in Scala. You will be mentored; learn how to make the most of functional and strongly typed programming! Our client will give training, motivation (and quite possibly homework) to the right candidate covering the principles of the technologies involved in the projects. This role is open to remote working.
