I feel the T-Rex [1] should be glowing happily in the Space for a night...

So why not go all out?

I have some vintage uranium glass dishes[2] we could serve nibbles in. Throw in some G&T (Tonic glows lovely under UV) and some of the other glows-under-UV cocktails[3][4] I've been coming up with ...

I'd also like to try to make some UV-reactive glowing candy in the Space. Apparently, it uses some B-vitamin that glows.

If it's okay, I'd like to mask off a corner of the main room, the one near the currently defunct stratasys, which should be out of the way enough. I have large black clothes and I could mask off the overhead lights with heavy duty foil. I'll bring back one of my UV blacklight tubes for the night (and will be taken home again too so as to not clutter up the Space).

Anyone for/against? I'm all for us gathering our glowy things to bask in the light for the evening too. Should be fun for any new people that turn up too.

Tom Wyatt was working on a laser-cut acrylic version of a stained
glass window. With the right colours of transparent acrylic, under UV,
it'll be very shiny...

Hipster had some EL wire as well and I've got lasers, projectors/smoke and a load of LEDS

Who's bringing the Acid and Psy-Trance?

I've got a bit of UV reactive plastic leftover from my last trip to Hamar. I have quite a few butterfly wings cut out from it

I shall look into gathering supplies this weekend then :D

There's plenty of unlabelled acid in the workshop. That'll do, right?

Couldn't make Tuesday, how did it go?

I saw this on another list, sounds like a really cool idea:
"Coat stage with phosphorescent paint (the type that stores and glows), add LED grid to dancers
shoes. Grid lights pattern when they step, goes out as they lift their foot, leaving a glowing imprint
behind. The pattern could change every step or be fixed for that dancer."

I think it would work best with electroluminescent sheets rather than LEDs, you could also scribble on
the floor with an appropriately coloured laser pointer.

So, when is the next glow night :)

didn't have a lot of glowy stuff but it was still a sucess with a great little glowy area with lots of delicious sacks and alcohol.

I couldn't make it this time, but next time there is a glow stuff Tuesday I will bring some glow in the dark 3d printed Yodas... I have 3 of them that I printed in Glow in the dark PLA.... And I can always print more. They glow wonderfully under UV.

Cheers,
Troy.
