Hi Folks,

I have been using the mill over the last couple of days with generally
good results.

0.1 mm out over 200mm which isn't bad.

This is likely due to not having parallels to use in the large red vice,
which is likely not the best vice
for the machine.

Therefore I have started making up a set, however this has now led to a
problem in the z axis of the mill
which seems to be slipping, a cut starts fine but then the bit gradually
moves upwards.

I suspect the lock on the back, I haven't had time to really investigate
but I will do so over the next.
Most likely Monday.

We could also do with a screen to prevent swarf and other general debris
leakage over the 'crap' store in front
of the machine.

It's not meant to be a crap store.
It was intended as access to the back of the machine for servicing and cleanup.

Accepted  however given the space's uncanny ability to collect 'useful' crap it is now full of items.
There is just about enough room to get the the back of the machine.
None the less when the cutting fluid does tend to splash a bit...

I think we saw this as a problem originally and decided the splashes might be a good way to discourage people from storing stuff there. There's maybe a need to cover the back of the racks but that could just be cardboard.
