What is this, liftshare.com?
Why are you posting this to the London Hackspace list? Twice!

No need for the abrasiveness!

Is it just me that's tempted to drive to Amsterdam just to find out what the mysterious and urgent requirement to drive to Amsterdam is?

Seems a bit harsh to me that people can't use the mailing list to ask
questions like this every now and then.

I agree we can't let the list turn into a slurry of spam, but surely
the point of the community is that people can ask for help with
things. If it's a lift to a bio-hacking event, isn't that pretty
on-topic for LHS?

They can, and they do, and less than 0.1% of the subscribers complain. Shock
horror...

Hi Simon,

Out of context your original email seemed like someone out of the blue asking for a lift.

While Martin's reply may have been a tad too brash, it was a good opportunity to respond with why your requesting, is it for an event connected to the Hackspace, a maker event or just for pleasure? Context is king :-)

Hugs

Sol

Its actually all three, hackspace maker event and pleasure. And i used to live there........Sorry I thought the context was already clear....so its more a case of lack of communication. It might have been better to say "why are you asking" stead of being abusive
