Hi Andy,

I live in the outskirts of Cambridge which makes it about a 2.5 hour
trip each way to the space, but I still find it very valuable. I only
visit twice a month on average, but it's enough to keep up with lots
of the projects going on and get to know some of the regulars.

We tend to keep events away from the weekends as those are the days
when the space is busiest with people working on their own projects.
If you walk into the space on a weekend you'll find plenty of people
working and most will be happy to talk about them. I'd recommend going
down when there's lockpicking on, as it's easy for newcomers to get
into and you'll get to know plenty of people who do other activities
as well. Also, if you can, try and get to a Tuesday meeting - I don't
get to visit them much but have occasionally booked a day off work to
go and it's been worth it. You don't need to be a member to visit - if
you just turn up at the weekend, it's very likely there will be
someone who can give you a quick tour. To be sure, you might want to
check on IRC (http://wiki.london.hackspace.org.uk/view/IRC) before
setting off.

The biohackers have their own mailing list which you might want to
contact as well. The details are on
http://wiki.london.hackspace.org.uk/view/Project:Biohacking.

Hope to see you in the space soon!

Jim
