Our landlord has just let me know that he's received several
complaints about loud drilling from our unit. Can we make sure loud
noises happen outside of office hours?

Man,we have the worst landlord... emphasis again on finding somewhere...

I dont think it is, there is heavy drilling downstairs at the moment at unit 4 (directly below) they are installing a gas meter. They just drilled through our wall! chunks of brick flew across the room!

There is drilling going on at the moment (11:27 hrs Saturday) that appears
to be coming from downstairs on the wall behind lovelace. A hammer drill.
