Hey guys, long time not talk, was great meeting some of you at EMF and Brighton mini maker faire, hope you enjoyed the talk and demonstration given by Henry.

We've finally launched the R10, and I was wondering if I could ask a favour from you fine people?  We've launched the thing on Kickstarter to fund our first big batch, and we're trying our best to promote it: http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1101297082/r10-quadrotor-powerful-inexpensive-and-customizabl I would be eternally grateful if you guys could spread the word.
(you might notice LHS is included in our credits).

Many thanks!

Are you manufacturing these in the US, then? I have to say $430 is a
very attractive price (especially if I can get some usage out of the
sunk costs of my DX6i ;), but adding shipping and VAT to that is a bit
annoying. Any chance of a bulk delivery to the hackspace?

drool...
Will tell everyone who will listen. If a bulk order heads the hackspace way I may well treat myself for christmas or birthday in april?

I was about to ask the same question. If there's a group-buy going on, I'm interested. Will spread the word in Brighton too.

Hey guys,

(Say hi to the Brighton guys for us, we had a demo of our slightly older quadrotor systems at BMMF, tucked in a room around the back somewhere).

Thanks for all you people's support!  I don't know what magic you guys did, but after I posted on here, suddenly our pledges were shooting up, it's only been 26 hours and we're nearly there!

Russ, the manufacturing is a bit odd right now.  We do all the designs here in the UK between myself and Henry, and then we outsource fabrication.  For the purpose of the kickstarter, where we expect a majority to be in the US, we'll be using US suppliers and getting parts delivered to the US.  Then depending on demand in the UK or Europe, we either ship direct from the US, or we divert some of the parts to here for assembly and packing in the UK, or if the demand is really high, then we source parts from the UK.

Either way, if enough people from LHS back the kickstarter, or you make a batch order later on, the most likely thing to happen is that either Henry or I will literally drive over to the hackspace with a trunk full of quadrotors, and drop them off.  I think we can be flexible, let me know, I think we can arrange things (and perhaps some discounts too).

Thanks all!
Yuan

If you do start supplying from the uk I would be very interested.

It's the import tax and faf that puts me off.

Likewise, I would be interested in a standard kit but don't fancy playing the import charge lottery!

Well, considering the threshold has been hit on Kickstarter, I'll hold
off for the moment until these things are actually shipping, and then
we can sort something out :).

Chris, you can put in your pledge to kickstarter now and they won't take the cash until the end in almost a months time, so you will have been paid

I'm thinking about doing precisely that ...
