But, a 'few visits' is not regular. You're entirely justified in
visiting a few times, and, as far as I know, encouraged to do just
that.

I'm fairly happy with allowing access to non-members too, as long as
it's not to the extent they're indistinguishable from members. And I'm
also pretty happy with visitors during the week, as long as they're
willing to not have a reception committee. So I agree with you ..  but
I also don't think you have anything to worry about over the example
you've given.
