Hey all,

So, quick question: does the quiet room have any usable whiteboards at the moment? Or perhaps more usefully: are there any portable ones?

D

PS: off-topic, but: if/when we move, it would be awesome to get some magnetic primer and whiteboard paint, and to paint an entire wall or two with them.

It's almost completely wallpapered with whiteboards and there are two
interactive ones to put up.

Awesome, thanks! Wanted to borrow some time/space with one later this
week to do some brainstorming with a friend or two.

yes, but we could do with someone going through all the pens and throwing
out all the empty ones and getting some new ones (and a decent wiper).

There is a blackboard as well.

I'm happy to do that :-)

Having used both of these in one of our meeting rooms at work, I suspect a better solution would be to fix steel panels to the walls and paint *them* with whiteboard paint... the magnetic paint isn't particularly good, and getting a stone/plasterboard wall smooth enough for the whiteboard paint to work well is *really* difficult.

is it OK to wipe a board if it isn't actively being used. I would hope that any non transient content has been photoed it whatever.

Ideally whoever used it last would clean up after themselves so would clean the board if they used it. However, a little common sense prevails in this situation. Ask around to determine if the board is in use and if not give it a wipe. If anyone complains, kindly remind them that the space is a shared environment so they should have anticipated the board would be wiped if they left it with no sign of being in use.

It might also be nice, if you have a camera, to take a snap of the
board before wiping it, just in case someone had cured cancer or
anything.
